You will require a GP referral for your initial appointment for obstetric care. This is usual done between 8 & 13 weeks lasting approximately 20 minutes and will involve:
- An ultrasound examination – you do not need to prepare for this ultrasound
- An accurate estimated due date of delivery
- Review of previous tests & investigations prior to this appointment
- Discuss prenatal testing (NIPT) and options
- Address any concerns or questions you may have
All follow up appointments are recommended at the following intervals:
17 weeks
21 weeks
25 weeks
29 weeks
31 weeks
33 weeks
35 weeks (and weekly until your delivery)
If you require any additional appointments throughout your pregnancy, this can be arranged without any addition out-of-pocket expenses.
